With his presence His Excellency Mr. Geoffrey Keating expressed its support for the campaign for preservation of Rila Natural Park as a unique part of the world natural heritage. On a special board hung side by side with the photos he wrote “Congratulations! Keep up the good work!”
The exhibition, which will stay for a month in the metro station, is aiming to provoke a higher environmental responsibility among people, regarding the increasing anthropogenic pressure over the unique nature of Rila Mountain.
Before the official ceremony today, part of the exhibition was presented in the garden in front of the National Theatre in Sofia. The third part of the large photo exhibition under the motto: To whom is Rila dear?” will be presented at 6 P.M. on October 24th in the trade center Sofiyski Tsentralni Hali. The opening will be accompanied by an acrobatic and musical performance presented by Benita Pripmo and the bagpiper Zahari Dimitrov. Within a month the visitors of the trade center will be able to see the photos and to be informed for the problems in Rila by representatives of the environmental civil of group “Citizens for Rila”
