A juvenile Imperial Eagle had an accident in Sakar
The next day, however, the eaglet had a second unsuccessful attempt to fly and stayed longer on the ground, preferring to run instead of trying to fly. Staying on the ground is extremely dangerous for the juvenile because of the terrestrial predators so environmentalists decided to catch and transport it to the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre in Stara Zagora. After the mandatory examination the eaglet will be released in the wild.
This rescue proves once again the effectiveness and necessity of guarding the nests. BSPB express sincere thanks to all volunteers for the well done job this year.
