Kalin Tiholov has prepared a number of Master plans over the Bulgarian
Black Sea coast, including one for the construction on the sand dunes of
Nesebar, became known as „*Dunes Gate*” several months ago. On top of that,
Tiholov is the author of the Master plan of Tsarevo municipality, which
provided the construction of 50,000 new beds on the sea coast of the
Strandja Nature Park. The parameters of this Master plan led to the penal
proceeding of the European Commission, as the park is part of the European
ecological network Natura 2000. As a result, the Ministry of Environment
and Water withdrew its positive opinion on the draft and so it became
invalid.
The candidate for Culture Minister Petar Stojanovic has long supported the
expansion of the Bansko ski resort in the Pirin National Park. He
participates in the initiative* *committee for a second gondola and new
tracks, which was organized by the Mayor of Bansko and whose protests were
supported a few months ago by ministers of GERB and the National Assembly
President Tzetzka Tzacheva. The expansion of the Bansko ski zone would
violate the Protected Areas Act, the Environmental Protection Act and the
Management Plan of the Pirin National Park.
The coalition “Let the NATURE remain in Bulgaria” believe that when is

experience and qualification and has not expressed a stand on the sphere he
will deal with.
