Farmers`market “Rimska stena” surprised the citizens of Sofia with unique celebration of love and wine

An occasion to celebrate, but also to have more conscious vision over the habits of over-consuming of goods and unhealthy foods during the holidays. With this idea on 14th and 15th of February in Sofia the sponsors welcomed the visitors of the fest on farmers` market “Rimska stena”, which market is organized every Saturday and has now become an emblematic place for eco-culture and presentation of the production of small farmers from all over the country.

The event in Sofia was opened with performance of bagpiper from “Kabagaidy”” ensemble, and on the second day the feeling has risen with folk dancing from “Lira” dance club and round dance /horo/ around the Wall. There were presented authentic products from raspberry wine of Trastena Malina & Merlot, mavroud wine from Ivan Grigorov and bio wines of Orbelus. During both days the visitors had the chance to make their own holiday cards, flower arrangements and candles from beeswax to give them to the most beloved people, as well as to taste and buy eco products, made by small producers in a natural way..

In Plovdiv the idea of eco celebrating of the two holidays was realized into the new center for meetings “Hrancoop Plovdiv”, where around a hundred followers were welcomed on a glass of bio wine from the producer Dimo Karaboyukov, a variety of homemade vegan food and a small bazaar of organic products

"We hope to be able to boast of farmer markets in other cities in the country soon, as well as to motivate more producers to proceed to organic farming, as the farmers’ markets for direct sale of bio production are already a fact and shall become more and more”, from the team of the organizers shared.
