“The water of the Adgibatitsa River used by us also was tested regarding active radiation, zinc, iron, phenols, lead, copper, cadmium, nickel, chromium, arsenic and aluminium by the laboratory of the Executive Environment Agency. The results showed that the amounts of these elements are in insignificant quantities, even below the set ones in the standard as minimum”, communicated Peter Valchovski, the project manager of “Biogarden Vitosha”.
“The received results give us reason that it is possible the cultivation of ecologically clean products in urban environments. The production of fresh vegetables by the population within the boundaries of a town could be efficient and even could turn into considerable industrial niche”, added Peter Valchovski.
