Editorial workshop 15-16 March: we are inviting young active journalists who want to do honest and serious journalism in the public interest.
The participants will learn about high ethical and professional standards adopted by world leaders in quality journalism such as The Guardian, BBC, New York Times and others. Through debate and practical work, the journalists will be studying techniques and approaches used by their international colleagues in writing and broadcasting coverage of topics in the “feature” genre. The participants will use their newly acquired knowledge and experience to discuss and develop a set of rules and professional principles, which they will follow and apply in future journalistic work.

Facilitators:
• Pavel Antonov, PhD, Managing Editor of BlueLink.net and former editor of Green Horizon, Budapest, News and Current Affairs at Nova TV, and others.
• Kieran Cooke, Climate News Network, Britain, a former reporter for the BBC, Financial Times, and others.
• John Bennett, editor, Arctic Monitor, media trainer for UNEP, and others.

If you are interested in the training, send an email to office@bluelink.net with the following information:
- Your personal and professional interest as well as your work experience in journalism
- Description of your interests and commitment to issues of public interest such as environmental protection, individual and collective rights, tolerance towards minorities, democracy and citizen participation.

BlueLink.net provides transport and accommodation for the short-listed participants covering their travel expenses to Sofia.

The workshop organized by BlueLink.net is part of “The Fourth Estate in Young Hands” project financed by the program for economic support of non-governmental organizations within the EEA Financial Mechanism, as well as by Earth Journalism Network at Internews.
