Public Debate on the topic “Forests, biodiversity and spatial planning”

Tomorrow, March 10, 2015, at 18:30, at the Red House Center for Culture and Debate, we will debate on the most sensitive questions of today on “Forests, biodiversity and special planning”, and namely:
• What is happening with the forest swaps? – what is the Government doing for recovering the illegal state aid, will the State succeed to fulfil EC recommendations in time;

• How is the process of completing the structure of NATURA 2000 in Bulgaria going – will the ordinances on the protected zones of habitats guaranteeing nature protection be published till the end of 2015, and will the protected zone Rila-buffer be established eventually? Marta Georgieva (DSB), Erdzhan Ebatin (DPS), and Petko Tsvetkov (Zelenite PP) will be the visiting politicians at the debate; and we expect participation confirmations also from a participant from DBG, and from the team of SIP – Stefan Avramov (Biodiversity and forests) and Toma Belev (Spacial planning). Vera Staevska (project manager) will be moderator of the debate.
All political parties represented in 43rd National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria were sent invitations.
