If you are interested in the field of ornithological research - this course is for you!

What is the course about? This is a field training course that combines theoretical presentations and field activities.
The practical part of the course includes introduction to basic skills for tagging birds (ringing, placing geo-locators) methodologies for monitoring and orientational behaviour of birds
The theoretical part includes presentations and discussions on topics related to bird migration, environmental monitoring of bird communities, molecular methods in ecology, parasites of birds, ethology and others.

Where? The course will be held in Biological Experimental Station "Kalimok" (BAS) near the village Nova Cherna(40 kilometers east of Rousse).

When? 29.04 - 05.05.2015, dependent on the willingness of participants and weather, dates can be changed.

Eligibility: students in biological sciences with an interest in field work

Costs:
- Fee - 30 lev (the fee will cover the cost of food)
- Training and accommodation * are free
- Each participant covers the cost of travel
