Government publishes maps with the dunes, in order to stop construction on them at long last
This call follows another construction initiation on top of dunes in the area of the camping Yug in Tsarevo Municipality. By law, dunes are exclusive state property and construction on them and their destruction are banned.

The Coalition Let Nature Remain in Bulgaria joins the appeal of NGO Let’s Save Coral, which insists the license for construction of a complex in Camping Yug to be revoked, to be investigated how the land of the camping with the dunes was acquired, and who were the people from the municipal administration in Tsarevo, who issued the construction license for 16 houses on an area of 1200 square meters.

The environmentalists have been puzzled that the expert council of Tsarevo Municipality had a representative at the Regional Inspection of the Environment and Waters – Burgas, who did not stop the construction on the dunes. He did not challenge the validity of the decision of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) of the complex from 2004, although the validity of these decisions expires after the third year. Due to the lack of public maps with dunes along the Black Sea Coast, the fact that the construction was to be on top of dunes was hidden at the expert council.
