The somewhat enigmatic name reveals the topic: the relationships and associations between the lake’s inhabitants and their environment – the lake, the salt and the people, the changing climate and the threats that become more serious and impending every day.
But expect not an ordinary exhibition of photographs and informative panels with long explanations!
On the contrary – the entertaining illustrated components will help our visitors learn about the lake’s history, the changes it went through, about the salt production process in its basins and their inhabitants.
Children and grown-ups alike can have fun with the ‘bird copier’ and the ‘salt constructor’; they can try putting together the puzzles representing the main threats for the birds, or learn about the migration of Gustav the Stork and read the letters he sent us.
The fascinating exhibition is the work of a team of several young creative people from Burgas: architects, a designer and an ecologist; it was conceived to be on the road but in order for its journey to begin we need the support of good-hearted people who can spare time and energy for the following positions:
- exhibition curator: welcoming visitors and introducing the exhibition;
- advertising coordinator: distribution of advertising materials for the exhibition on key hotspots in the city;
- technical assistants: support for mounting and dismounting the exhibition components (technical skills are a plus);
- photo archive coordinator: support for the creation of a photo and video archive for the exhibition; photo and video footage from the opening of the exhibition and during its tour; and processing of archive material.
The volunteers will be trained and their individual schedules will be taken into consideration.
