Future Agro Challenge – possibilities for implementation of innovations by agro entrepreneurs
Future Agro Challenge would like to find, support and finance companies with original, creative, practically applicable and environmentally suitable ideas that provide innovative solution of the urgent economic and environmental problems of the agricultural sector. Until 30 June, Bulgarian agro entrepreneurs with startup businesses or ideas for such can apply and participate in the competition.
Official partner of the initiative in 2015 will be the Ministry of agriculture and foods, whose representatives are invited as referees in the competition. Applicants who cover the requirements will be invited to a special event that will be held on 10 July 2015 in Sofia. The team is working on the development of a network of mentors and partnership institutions, which can support the participants in the process of application, development and presentation of the ideas on stage.
The authors of the best projects will visit the European Parliament in Brussels by the invitation of the European deputy Vladimir Uruchev. They will also have the possibility to be introduced with the work of the Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI). The winner of the competition at a national level will represent the country at the finals in Athens, Greece, with great chances for networking and finding investors. The international winner in Athens will be awarded with the title “Best agro innovator of the year” and will receive large reflection in international media. The organizers will announce soon the additional resources that will be available in supporting the winner in their startup business.
