And why do you like Pirin?
Why Pirin? And Why in Sofia?

Pirin is a National park. It belongs to all citizens. We are inviting you to take part in the alternative social discussion about Pirin, because it will give you the opportunity to learn what is happening to the mountain at the moment and to participate in an adequate and timely way.

Sofia, because we live here, we work here and the public discussion in Bansko planned for the 24th of July on a working day will be more difficult for us to attend.

Our wish is to work with the firm chosen for executer of the plan. We would like together to help them to make it better, for the sake of Pirin.

Regarding the day and the place of the discussion we have made everything possible to plan the event in such a way that those of us who work legal working hours would be able to join in. It is important to invite the responsible institutions too. We hope that everyone who wants to participate would be able to leave work a little earlier. And even if you don’t manage to do so, you can join in (the discussion) subsequently.

The event will be broadcasted online on the channel of Transparent Mountains, where you will be able to ask your questions: https://www.youtube.com/prozrachniplanini

You can find and support the standpoints of Transparent Mountains about the Management plan of Pirin here:

We believe that in Bulgaria there are a lot of thinking and active people, who have the desire to change the status quo in Bulgaria for the better. We believe that you are such people. We believe that together we can contribute to the development of a better plan for management of National park “Pirin”.

Information about what exactly is a Managment plan can be found here: http://goo.gl/KI73Hl. It is crucial to take part right now, because the actualization of the plan for Pirin is made once in 10 years, and the future of the park depends on it not just for the next 10 years, but for generations ahead.
