The work of Dr. Radostveta Krastanova, about The Green Movement in Bulgaria, received award for best francophone dissertation in Bulgaria for 2015.
The doctoral dissertations of two doctoral students from New Bulgarian University (NBU), shared the award for “Best francophone dissertation” in category “Doctorates” from the University Agency of Francophony (AUF) and French Institute in Bulgaria. The prizes were given to Dr. Radosveta Krastanova and Dr. Vesela Atanasova on 21th January in the French Embassy in Sofia by the ambassador HM Xavier Lapeyre de Cabane. The young scientist was supported by Prof. Antony Slavinsky, Chairman of Trustees of NBU, who attended the ceremony.
The subject of the dissertation created by Dr. Radosveta Vasileva is “The new social movements. The Green Movement in Bulgaria (1987-2012)” and is developed under the scientific leadership of Prof. Antony Todorov, Dr. of Science from Department ”Political Science” by NBU and Prof. Serj Volikov, Center “Georges Chevrier”, Burgundy University in Dijon, France and Doctor Honoris Causa by NBU.

Dr. Krastanova is Chairman if the Civic Association “Lucky man”, co-founder and international coordinator of Interdisciplinary educational net “Place for future” and assistant in dpt.” Roman and German Studies” by NBU. She is a mother of two daughters.
Her main investigative interests are in the field in interdisciplinary synthesis (political anthropology-political science- social science-history-social phycology); new social movements and the new forms of political mobilization; complex researches of social and cultural phenomena, ecology, stable development, green movements and green politics. Dr. Krastanova is a member of the National Association of Educators of French language. She is author of treatise, published in both Bulgarian and French - Krastanova. R. (2012). Green Movement and Green Parties in Bulgaria: Between System Integration and System Change. Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Sofia- as well many scientific publications and specialized translations from French.
