We need to point out that the projects in question have been completed, their activities and results have been inspected by the auditors, as well as by the administrative body of OPE, and have been accepted. To date, the beneficiaries and the implementers have not been informed about any concerns in relation to the legality of the process of implementation of the projects.
We insist the Ministry of Environment and Water to make an announcement, and to make public the information about the number of inspections on each of the three projects on behalf of the OPE, as well as the conclusions about their results, and also the information whether the funds for these projects were checked and certified on behalf of the EU Commission. We hope this information will be presented till Friday this week.
An eventual failure of the MEW to make this announcement will force the affected parties to resort to other ways for protecting the good name of the organisations of the Coalition and to turn directly to the EU Commission, environmentalists write.
