It is interesting to know that at its arrival it stayed in its own nest on the tree, but four days later, a team of Zeleni Balkani established that Belcho was already staying in another nest, on the roof of the school. It looks possible that Belcho is with another bird. Storks are monogamous birds, which stay with their partners till its death. Does that mean that Belcho has lost his partner?
We still don’t know this, and our monitoring in the region of Belozem continues, in order that we find out more about the interesting life of our feathered neighbours.
Follow the route of the storks we have marked:

Belcho is marked within the framework of the project “Storks flight”, funded by the foundations “EuroNatur” (Germany) and “Ciconia” (Lichtenstein) within the project “Wet meadows and pastures”. This is the first adult white stork in Bulgaria, which is monitored in this way.
