The speech of David Mavrodiev describing his rejection

Good day to all!
I am sorry that I am not here today, before the kids of the Club, whom we are conquering the world with for 5 years already. Greetings to all, who received a prize! To the rest I wish that their souls don’t suffer, as it is more important than any prize that all of you make friends on their way as an awaken citizens and a good people. This is our mission in 21st century! And I hope that the Bulgarian politicians see these smart and gifted students and will stop excusing with the new system or the old regime, but to perform the reforms undertaken, so all kids stay in Bulgaria…!

Thank you, kids of the Club, doing good to known and unknown men! Thanks a lot to all “different” kids of Civil movement “Support to people with development issues”. I was awarded with that prize so many times because of you, showing me the finding that “it is a big privilege to be different!” and to be accepted by others is not that difficult, but a change in the thinking of our society is needed. Yes, I thank the most to the Civil movement for their support all the time and their accurate and correct attitude. Thanks to the Foundation for the prize and the nomination, as well as for their respect to me demonstrated before the nation. However, if it has been like that in reality, it would have accepted my different opinion! Thanks to Mr. Berbatov, too, that he awards me for a third year now, as I guess, my poetry does not deserve it!

As a conclusion to my statement I would dare to challenge my generation: Dear succeeded kids of Bulgaria, let us show that we don’t do all for a prize, prestige, money or fame, but that we have other much more elevated objectives – worthy, honest, moral and brave, defending new and noble causes, which make dreams come true to happier and smiling people and for the Bulgarian nature!

Friends, be different and ask your uncomfortable questions, because the truth must be searched, but not begged. Be more active in your thoughts and actions even they could be only monologues and never stay quiet, if you are called “handful of pseudo-ecologists”. Yes, Mr. Berbatov, this is the exact same definition undersigned by you, which made me having my final decision… And by keeping the requested decency, by respecting your name and greatness, I herewith state that I refuse to receive your prize!
