The put into operation of the lift to Sedemte ezera (The Seven lakes) will lead to a drastic increase in the amount of people in the mountain which will be followed unfortunately by left-over sandwich packages, food and cigarettes at the bottom of the lakes, furrowed roads thanks to the motorcycles and the buggies, trampled flowers, city chicks on high heels with bear bellies, beer in hand…
Slowly, Rila as described by Vazov in his poem is fading away… (I am home, I am in the heart of Rila).
Despite of this, mountain beauty cannot be completely devastated by people…
Nature always wins over man.
Feel free to take pictures: mountain tops, lakes, garbage, odd mountain equipment or behaviour, the illegal lift built without ecological assessment, jeeps and motorcycles in the national park.
Entry requirements:
Each participant can send up to 3 photos and needs to have the pictures in high resolution for printing 20x30 cm.
Please send attached to every file the title of the picture, the complete name of the author, as well as address and telephone number.
High quality JPG will be the ideal format, with length 1024.
Selection criteria will be based on the artistic value, the originality, and the connection with the topic.
